We have new money to improve our school!
Our new pot of state money for schools is called LCFF (Local Control Funding Formula) and parents, teachers, administrators and district personnel wrote a plan as to how to use this money to support our students and the goals of the LCAP Plan. (You can see these goals in the survey to the left.)

I'm Heidi Haines, Principal of Green JHS and on behalf of all of us here, it is our privilege and pleasure to serve our students and school. As your principal, my first and foremost job is to promise that your child is safe, and is learning every day. My staff and students continue this year to support our school motto, "Everyone at E. O. Green is treated with dignity and respect," a motto that reflects our commitment to our students and to all members of our school community. We strive to provide a positive learning environment that has high expectations both academically and socially for our students while working to produce literate, responsible, self-disciplined and motivated future members of our society.

Over the summer, we renovated many areas of the school to make it a more welcoming place and to encourage students to take ownership of their school.

  • New security measures make sure that all visitors enter through the office

  • Office has been remodeled to accommodate new security measures

  • New green picnic tables (umbrellas coming soon)

We are grateful to the District Administration and our School Board for their strong support.

Our staff has renewed their commitment to our school and volunteer their time in many capacities. Everyone is hard at work toward our academic goals of supporting student learning and increasing test scores again this year. Whether it is through tutoring before and after school, teaching Saturday School, moderating ASB, Renaissance, CJSF, cheer team, multi media club, dance club, Prism GSA, ASES or many more after school clubs, our staff is here to help all students excel in many ways, inside the classroom and out.

I encourage parents to become an active part in our school as well. Please come into the office with your photo I.D. and receive your Parent Connect pin and password. These will allow you to check your student's grades and assignments from any computer, and making emailing teachers easy! I also highly encourage you to join our PTSA, whether it is through a donation of $6 for membership, donating an hour for school activities, or assisting our amazing and hard-working PTSA Board in all their fundraising efforts. We are grateful for their undying support. Please email our PTSA President if you are interested in joining us.

Please feel free to email any of my admin team (see below) at any time with questions, suggestions or for assistance. As parents and school community members, you are a valued partner in the important work we do each day and I enjoy working with parents to make our school the best that it can be.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child each day. We at Green JHS are happy to be your partner in the education of your child.

With Hornet Pride,

Heidi Haines

Hueneme Elementary School District

Every school district that receives federal funding is required to designate and/or adequately train at least one employee to coordinate the recipient’s Title IX responsibilities.  Title IX regulations also require the name and contact information of each Title IX Coordinator be made public by the educational institution. The Hueneme Elementary School District affirms its commitment to equality of opportunity for all individuals. This commitment requires that no discrimination shall occur regarding admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, any program and activity on the basis of age, race, color, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, citizenship, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, medical condition, religion, or marital status.

Complaints alleging noncompliance with Title IX can be filed by utilizing the Uniform Complaint Procedures (UCP) as identified in California Code of Regulations, Title 5, Sections 4600 et. seq. and Hueneme Elementary School District Policy BP 1312.3 and should be directed to the Title IX Coordinator:
